Average orders grow as brand prepares for QVC debut and UK standalone.
Ti Sento has reported a strong start to the autumn/winter season with sales up 27%, impacted by its new AW13 collection, new UK doors and larger orders.
The brand’s worldwide average order amount in terms of pieces per door has grown by 13%, and in value terms its average order per retail partner per door has increased by 9%, compared to 2012.
The growth comes as Ti Sento’s AW13 collection Bella Vita enters stores, alongside the launch of its Denim collection, unveiled earlier this month at IJL.
Ti Sento’s country manager for the UK Judith Lockwood said the brand has now reached a mature and stable point in the UK market, proved by these latest figures. “The total amount of all business written so far in this period, which includes new doors, existing doors, new seasonal fashion collections and buy-in to existing collections, is showing a staggering increase of 27% in pieces compared to 2012," she said.
“Our new winter collection has been extremely well-received by retailers and consumers so far, which is incredibly positive news for us all. The collection is commercial, on-trend and everyone is loving it."
Ti Sento reported a positive appearance at IJL, with business up 24% on its target for the trade show and nine new retail accounts opened. Its Denim collection was well received with more than 25 retailers buying into the pre-season range, which will hit stores in November.
The brand is also set to make its QVC debut at 7pm on Saturday September 28, with Lockwood appearing as a guest presenter. The brand will be presented at full price, and hopes to win new customers across the UK.
Lockwood said: “This is a truly fantastic way for us to brand build and tell the Ti Sento story to new and existing consumers, as well as showcasing selected seasonal items."
Existing bricks and mortar retail customers will be supported by Ti Sento’s parent company IBB Amsterdam, should they experience follow-up orders or enquiries following the QVC show.
Ti Sento will open its first standalone store in the UK at the Trafford Centre in Manchester next month and will be hosting an evening event to coincide with Manchester’s Vogue Fashion Night Out event on October 10.
The 84 square metre store is being operated as a franchise by CMJ members Michael and Allison Aldridge who have previously worked with Ti Sento at their Neil & Barker store in Widnes, Cheshire.
