Tiffany & Co promotes Japanese president

Stephane Lafay elevated to new role of group VP of Asia-Pacific.

Tiffany & Co has promoted the president of its Japanese operations, Stephane Lafay, to a newly created role of group vice-president of the Asia-Pacific region.

Lafay will continue to act as president of the jewellery company’s Japanese business but it plans to appoint a managing director of this division to support him. The search for someone to fill this position is now underway.

Lafay joined the business as president of its Japanese division in 2009.

In November the group presented “better than expected” third quarter results with sales in Europe up 19% as the jewellery company increased its full-year earnings forecast.
