Brand will donate proceeds to charity of designer’s choice.
Gemstone jewellery brand Tivon has launched a jewellery design competition through Facebook, with the winning design set to be made, toured at trade shows and sold, with a portion of the proceeds set to be donated to charity.
The brand has opened the competition to amateur and professional designers, jewellery lovers and members of the public. Participants are asked to submit an original design via the Tivon Facevook page.
It is asking entrants to be daring, stating: "We are looking for a bold and striking design but still in-keeping with our love of wearable and classical jewellery".
The brand will make the winning design, taking it to various jewellery trade shows before it is sold. It is also promising to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale to a charity of the designer’s choice.
Tivon says is "not seeking 100% professional designs" and say that as long as the basic idea, shape and concept are clear, a design is in with a chance of winning.
Entrants can submit designs by privately messaging Tivon on Facebook, sending in a sketch, a professional rendering or a CAD design by scanning and attaching the image.
The competition is open until September 30 after which Tivon will announce five finalists. These will then be put to a public vote, with a vote from Tivon’s management, before a winner is announced.
