London-based designer Tomasz Donocik has picked up a prestigious award for a third year in row at the luxury Couture jewellery show in Las Vegas.
Drop earrings from his Electric Night collection were chosen in the category for Best Piece for Coloured Gems under $20,000. The collection is inspired by the neon-lit skyscrapers of cult sci-fi movie, Bladerunner, and consists of cocktail rings, earrings, cuffs, drops and necklaces.
Donocik’s Electric Night earrings are set in 18 carat rose gold with rows of baguette-cut stones, including amethyst, tanzanite, blue sapphire, iolite, blue topaz, emerald and white diamond to form continuous rays of light that evoke a futuristic nightscape,” Donocik explained.
“I am incredibly honoured and joyful that the Electric Night collection was not only commercially a hit, but was also perceived by the judges as forward thinking and original,” he added.
