Competition building momentum with more than 6,500 votes in two days.
This year’s Treasure competition is hotting up as the ten finalists battle it out to win one of three stands, with only days to go until voting closes.
Two days since voting commenced, Professionaljeweller.com has already seen 6,572 votes cast with a close match between two particular finalists.
The campaign has also gone viral, with finalists including Laura Gravestock, Ros Millar and Trisori utilising Twitter and Facebook to drum up votes and spread news of the contest, Treasure show and London Jewellery Week.
On her Twitter profile, Gravestock wrote: "A huge thanks to everyone for their voting help so far! I’m currently in 2nd place!! Please help me keep up momentum by voting and making me a very happy lady!"
London boutiques including Luna & Curious in Shoreditch have shown support, asking Twitter followers to vote for Momocreatura.
Comments left online by voters and jewellery fans have also provided a boost at Professionaljeweller.com, with comments including a comment by Matti Hyy which said: "Seen Momocreatura’s work before. Every piece hides a surprise, you just have to look close enough. I vote for her", while Jules has said "Emily gets my vote!."
Voting for this year’s competition to win a stand at the London Jewellery Week selling show will close this coming Tuesday. The call for entries was given earlier this year and in its second year the competition attracted three times as many entries as in 2010.
