U.S. watch market bestsellers revealed

Top brands include Patek Philippe, Seiko and TAG Heuer.

American marketing and consultancy company called United Brands has revealed its top 10 lists of the best selling and best-loved watch brands in the U.S. market.

United Brands released its 2011 top 10 list of the highest-ranking jewellery, watch, and diamond brands in the world. Executives, consultants, and affiliates of United Brands compiled the lists, with rankings based on a number of factors including product quality, design, performance, value, consumer recognition, brand differentiation, and marketing effectiveness.

The top 10 "super premium" watch brands in the U.S. are as follows, with a devotion to Swiss-made watches and a playful entry from statement brand Ulysse Nardin.

United Brands also revealed its top ten list of luxury watch brands – those sitting at a slightly lower level than the premium brands – which shows that Rolex holds steady as the safe brand of choice, with Chronoswiss in fifth place and German-made watch brand Glashutte in eighth place.
