UK hallmarking bounces back by 8% in February

Gold rose 14% and palladium up 31% in sweeping February gains.

UK hallmarking showed positive gains across all precious metal categories in February, according to figures compiled from all four assay offices by Birmingham Assay Office. 

Gold and palladium showed the biggest increases, up 14% and 31% respectively, with 14ct gold showing particularly strong gains of 50%. 

Silver showed more modest growth of 1.6%, with Platinum also increasing by 6%.
