Essex retailer notes shift away from diamond lines to fashion brands
Gift buying drove Valentine’s sales up 30% year on year at Essex retailer Emson Haig.
Emson Haig owner Dave Shone said that he noticed a shift away from traditional Valentine’s Day jewellery presents, such as diamond lines, towards more fashion-led brands such as Pandora and Links of London.
Shone said: “Valentine’s overall was up about 30% on the previous year so we were very pleased. We’ve had a very good year and last year was fantastic.”
Emson Haig has stores in Lakeside and Loughton.
