Scottish jewellery hub welcoming designers to new space.

Vanilla Ink, the Dundee-based jewellery studio launched to support the growth of emerging jewellery design talent, has opened its call for applications, encouraging designers to join its community.

The studio space is housed at WASPS, a vibrant design community in the city.

Kate Pickering, founder of Vanilla Ink, said: “We think there is a difference between making jewellery and being a jeweller; that the difference between having a dream and making it real is understanding the market and your place in it; and that there is a need for a supportive transition from education to independent success as a maker.”

Pickering says that Vanilla Ink offers a “friendly, collaborative and affordable studio environment”, with mentoring also offered.

The call for applications is open until July 27 with an application pack available to download from the Vanilla Ink Studio site.
