Emerging jewellery talent recreates love story from old letters.
Emerging jewellery designer Pip Jolley has created a film featuring her jewellery collection, re-telling a 1940s love story.
The film, titled Patricia, is based on the story of Joanne and Frank, the lives of which Jolley discovered after finding a stack of their love letters dating back to the 1940s.
She joined forces with Central Saint Martins graphic design graduate Liam Gray on the Hitchcock-inspired film.
The film, set in the 1960s, features close-ups of Jolley’s jewellery collections throughout the film, including new additions to her Rollerette and Brilliantine lines, initially released in 2012.
Jolley’s work is cast from sections of original 1950s hair rollers, with designs such as hoop earrings and knuckledusters.
