Owners say "calculated risk" paid off; other retailers report growth.

Ti Sento has reported success with the recent opening of its first UK standalone and the decision to take part in Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out in Manchester on October 10.

The shop, based in the Trafford Centre, was opened in partnership with retailers Michael and Allison Aldridge. They said the decision to take part in Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out was a "calculated risk" only seven days after the store’s official opening.

Michael Aldridge said the store was "completely full” on the night, and was an investment that paid off.

“After only seven days of trading we had returning customers who brought along their family and friends on the evening and our sales exceeded our expectations on the night," said Aldridge. "The event was so well attended we had far more customers than we had champagne for! It was a great night to promote Ti Sento and increases our confidence in Ti Sento as the right brand to invest in.”

The IBB Amsterdam brand has also won growing sales through other retail partners and an increase in the number of stores investing in Ti Sento shop-in-shop concepts.

Houlden Group member Ashley Pugh added Ti Sento furniture to his Inspired by Brufords shop in Eastbourne in November last year and has since reported Ti Sento sales growth of 63% in like-for-like figures this year.

Pugh said: “We have seen fantastic sales this year with Ti Sento, which is a brand that needs to have the furniture to do it justice. I think that this year’s Portofino Collection is one of the nicest collections I have ever seen launched by a brand. And the autumn/winter collections are also very commercial and have been well received by our Ti Sento clients.”

Ti Sento Country Manager UK Judith Lockwood said Ti Sento owner IBB Amsterdam has made significant investment in the brand, focusing on design and quality of its collections, and the development of Ti Sento’s branding, in particular its retail concepts. "With the right retail partners, who understand our concept, support the brand and display the brand correctly, Ti Sento is a sure fire winner,” Lockwood added.
