Professionaljeweller.com hosts online poll for KickStart one to watch.

Professional Jeweller and IJL have teamed up to launch an online poll to decide the winner of the People’s Choice KickStarter Award 2013.

For the first time in the history of the KickStart program the 10 designers have been put forward for a People’s Choice award and can be voted for via IJL’s social media channels or through Professionaljeweller.com.

The vote will be open to retailers and buyers who will pick their "one to watch", with the winner scooping a free stand in the Design Gallery at IJL 2014.

The poll, which you can find on the homepage of Professionaljeweller.com, offers the 10 names of this year’s KickStarters. To place your vote simple check the box next to their name and click ‘vote’. You will then see the current percentage poll of the vote.

These votes will be amalgamated with the votes placed for the People’s Choice via social media sites Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, cast using the hashtag #KickStartVote.

The People’s Choice vote launched live on Professionaljeweller.com on May 13 and will run until Friday May 31.

For those who wish to vote elsewhere, Twitter users can tweet the name of the KickStarter they’d like to vote for with the hashtag #KickStartVote, while Instagram users can post a picture of their favourite KickStarter or product with the same hashtag to cast their vote.

Facebook users will be able to cast votes via the IJL Facebook page. Voters may also cast their votes directly at jewellerylondon.com.

IJL event director Sam Willoughby said: “KickStart provides a fantastic commercial launch pad for ten of the best new designers in the UK jewellery industry. The line up for 2013 looks outstanding and their work is so unique and stylish, whilst also being excellent quality.

"People’s Choice allows the industry to have a say, and the prize of a Design Gallery stand in 2014 will take the winning designer’s career from strength to strength."
