Diamond recycling company to sell on behalf of retailers, pawnbrokers.
Diamond recycling company White Pine has opened up its international diamond sales to UK sellers, offering retailers, refiners and brands a chance to sell on their diamonds to the trade.
White Pine is set to host four of its global diamond sales events during the first quarter of 2013, with three sales in New York across January and February, and one in Hong Kong in March.
The company is now offering UK-based jewellers, refiners, pawnbrokers and manufacturers a chance to sell their diamonds and achieve market prices.
Tim Phillips, White Pine’s European director, said: “We have seen rapid growth in the recycled diamond market over the past year. This growth has also been observed in White Pines’ sales events held regularly in New York and Hong Kong.
“The recycled diamond market has rapidly become a force in the global diamond supply chain, and opening these sales events to British businesses is another exciting development for White Pine.”
The company says that UK diamond sellers will potentially gain exposure to some of the industry’s biggest buyers and achieve premium results through competitive buying and bidding at the events.
A typical White Pine’s sale event will feature approximately 30,000 to 40,000 carats of diamonds in all shapes, sizes, qualities, and quantities. The stones sales are targeted at a select group of global buyers looking to purchase diamonds in bulk.
