April was a fantastic month for gold hallmarking with figures compiled from all four Assay Offices by the Birmingham Assay Office showing gains across the board, including a 37.9% boost for 14ct.
Silver also performed well with the total number of items assayed up 5.8% amd sterling silver also showing gains of 5.4%.
Palladium was the only category to suffer with slight declines of 0.2% and 2.8% across 950 and 500. Overall, the dip was just 0.7%.
