3D Systems has been unveiled as the sponsor of the Branded Jewellery Boutique of the Year category at this year’s Professional Jeweller Awards.

The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of products and service, including 3D print materials and software, that dramatically increase jewellery manufacturers’ productivity with limited labour and allow more freedom.

Nicole Clement, VP Marketing EMEA at 3D Systems, says there is a huge opportunity for jewellery companies to benefit from the latest solutions in 3D printing, and the Professional Jeweller Awards provide an ideal platform to raise the profile of new technology.

“3D Systems chose to sponsor the Branded Jewellery Boutique of the Year category to reward excellence and innovation in the jewellery market,” she said. “The Professional Jeweller Awards offer the ideal opportunity to raise awareness for the potential of 3D printing to directly print fine wax patterns, without tooling time, and free of cost/geometric limitations. This is a real game-changer for anyone requiring reliable and repeatable casting.”

One of the most striking pieces of equipment for jewellery businesses is the ProJet MJP 2500W, an “affordable” 100% RealWax pattern 3D printer that adjusts to the user’s workflow. It can deliver several short run batches a day to next-day typical larger builds at high productivity.

“These highly accurate, fine wax patterns are directly printed, without tooling time, costs and geometric limitations, for reliable and repeatable direct metal casting efficiency,” said Clement.
