This category is for jewellery industry suppliers operating in the UK that have demonstrated they have the best products, sales, support and service this year.

Curteis scooped the Jewellery Industry Supplier of the Year accolade last year after being backed by trade professionals in the public vote, and now has the opportunity to take home the prize for a second year after its peers took the time to nominate again. As a supplier, Curteis continues to develop all aspects of the company, ensuring it delivers the very best in customer service. Over the last 12 months bespoke has become an even more important part of the business.
Diamnet has shaken the traditional diamond industry with its two-fold offer. First, in August 2018, Diamnet launched a diamond trading platform, offering registered retailers free, easy single point access to the best diamond cutters and wholesalers from around the world. This has attracted more than 175 retailers in the UK. Then in February, Diamnet introduced its second service, an Online Diamond Showroom for retailers. The white label site allows jewellers to improve the in-store experience, using digital devices.
Gecko Jewellery is a multi-brand jewellery supplier, wholesaler and distributor, established 28 years ago with a loyal customer base of almost 4,500 retailers across the UK and Ireland. Gecko currently has eight jewellery lines, which are constantly refreshed to meet consumer demands. Covering a breadth of trends in fine and fashion jewellery, for many in the industry the firm is a one-stop shop, with new collections performing above expectations.
Hatton and Spencer
A unique approach to jewellery packaging has captivated industry professionals and gained Hatton & Spencer a place in the ‘Jewellery Industry Supplier of the Year’ shortlist. Despite the old adage that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, recent research reveals consumers do, and therefore when it comes to selling jewellery — packaging plays a vital part. Launching at the start of this year, Hatton & Spencer enjoyed a successful debut at Jewellery & Watch.
With the state of retail changing over the last couple of years, it has been essential to adapt and change to meet the needs of customers — something Hockley Mint has been more than happy to do. Over the last year Hockley Mint has become more flexible than ever in order to support retailers and help them secure sales by delivering products as fast as possible when needed. The supplier has also focused on service, reminding retailers of all the ways Hockley Mint can bolster business.
Over the last 13 years River Mounts has grown to become one of the biggest providers of diamond-set mounts in the UK, with offices in London, Birmingham, and Antwerp; eight sales agents on the road; and 27 members of staff dedicated to customer support. While the team and products have grown from the modest portfolio the company started with, the heart of the business has not changed, and today River Mounts is known as a customer-first supplier.
