For 2017 Astley Clarke presented its first collections designed by Dominic Jones who was appointed as the brand’s creative director at the end of last year.
One glance at the pieces when they launched revealed that, while still holding on to the brand’s heritage and style, Jones wasn’t going to play it safe. Instead, he’s added bold and modern designs which encourages a broader audience to interact with the brand.
A stand out collection was Phototaxis, a selection of jewels inspired by the British moth, and how the creature responds to light.
The line seeks to capture the romance and sensitivity of Art Nouveau jewellery in striking, modern pieces.
The end result? Moth motifs crafted in mixed fine metals, and adorned with colourful diamonds, in a variety of bold, delicate and daring designs.
