Latest business accolade finishes jeweller’s 70th year on a high.
Retail jeweller Allum & Sidaway picked up two awards at a ceremony held by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Allum & Sidaway was presented with the Family Business of the Year award and the Retail Excellence award.
The sponsors of the awards praised Allum & Sidaway on its skilled staff, outstanding customer service, continued expansion with demonstrably positive growth and results, and the focus on its mission statement “to inspire customers and exceed all expectations”.
These latest awards come after a string of wins for the retailer during 2012, which is its 70th year in business. Earlier in the year the retailer, which has five stores in Shaftesbury, Gillingham, Salisbury, Ringwood and Dorchester, scooped The Blackmore Vale Business of the Year Award and the South Wilts Retailer of the Year, while managing director Jason Allum was awarded a place as a Ti Sento Retail Star in the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2012 in association with the Company of Master Jewellers.
Allum said: “This evening has been the climax on what has been an extraordinary year for us and to be honoured for our achievements amongst all the other very worthy finalists and winners is a very proud moment for us. I can’t thank enough the sponsors and the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their belief and support and to hold this event celebrating the successful businesses of Dorset.
“I also pay testament to my outstanding staff. We aim to go from strength to strength and continually provide an inspirational service to our customers.”
