Speaking of her time with the company, Saunders said: “After just over nine very happy years at Brown & Newirth I have decided the time has come for me to move on to pastures new and as such have now left the company. Working with the team at B&N has given me many happy memories and fantastic experience for which I am very thankful.”

Saunders has not yet secured a new job role but told Professional Jeweller that she is hoping to stay within the jewellery trade and is actively seeking a new position.

She added: “My task now is to concentrate on finding those new pastures. I am excited at the prospect of taking on a new challenge and am really looking forward to the next chapter in my career. Having worked in the jewellery trade since my early teens at my father’s retail jewellery business this trade is very much in my blood and I would love to stay in what I still feel is an excellent industry.”
