Andrew Geoghegan makes shopper cry


Emotional trip to Oxford’s Payne & Son ends in sale.

It seems that the jewellery designs of Andrew Geoghegan have officially brought customers to tears.

The Leeds-based fine jeweller, who earlier this year was featured in Professional Jeweller’s Hot 100, received an email from a customer who had been brought to tears by his “stunning” designs in jeweller Payne & Son in Oxford.

In an email to Geoghegan, she wrote: “My husband and I got married 18 years ago at the tender age of 18. For the past two years I have been actively looking for new wedding rings to replace the economy ones that I had to have back then. I popped into Payne & Son in Oxford and was amazed by the quality of the jewellery that he showed me from your collection. I am so thrilled to say that I have purchased the Celestial tourmalated quartz and diamond ring. It is stunning, it even made me cry in the shop when I tried them on.”

The shopper then went on to praise store staff at Payne & Son and described herself as a “satisfied customer”.
