Andrew Geoghegan takes jewels on summer road trip

Jeweller hoping to build relations new and existing during UK jaunt.

Andrew Geoghegan is set to take his collections on a summer road trip around the UK, with the aim of winning new independent stockists and building relations with those he already works with.

The AG Summer Road Trip, as it has been dubbed, is also being used as an opportunity for Geoghegan to showcase two new designs to retailers before the officially unveiled to the wider industry.

The trip is a new style of personal marketing campaign for Geoghegan and follows his 2012 Facebook ring campaign. He also plans to unveil an even bigger social experiment later this year to find the world’s best ring as decided solely by the public.

Geoghegan said of his summer road trip: “I can’t wait to get going on this summer road trip. The idea is to seek out the very best in potential new independents, connect with my brilliant current retail partners and launch a couple of the most jaw-dropping pieces to come out of AG.

"Every retailer who sees AG over the Summer Road Trip will be privy to these new pieces and believe me, they are beyond exciting. In my mind, there’s a huge importance to get out and connect with retailers, create some great content for marketing and introducing people to the pieces. There is simply nothing better than face-to-face meetings and encouraging people to see the AG pieces in flesh. It’s of particular importance for me to continue to have direct contact with established and future partners. The AG brand is such a personal expression – so it goes without saying that face-to-face meets are an important facet of the business strategy.”

The two new pieces include the Satellite Bridal, a new engagement ring set with a 1ct brilliant-cut diamonds accompanied by the brand’s castelle-set diamond halo.

The second design is The Renaissance, a ring said to pay homage to classic designs with a 1ct stone set in a cluster style with cut down settings, described as "a scintillating combination of classic and contemporary".

Geoghegan is set to visit independent retailers including Mallorys of Bath, Green & Benz and Phillip Stoner during the road trip and is welcoming requests from others who may like to see him along the way.

Geoghegan has already visited both new and existing retailers in Exeter and Plymouth and is also set to visit Aberdeen and Malta during his travels.
