Antwerp World Diamond Centre’s Margaux Donckier joins new diamond tech company HB Antwerp


Margaux Donckier, former spokeswoman for Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), has made the move to new diamond tech company HB Antwerp.

Donckier assumes the role of director of communications and external affairs.

Her responsibilities at AWDC will be assumed by Karen Rentmeesters, head of PR and communications.

HB Antwerp conducts the entire diamond manufacturing process – from rough to polished – in Antwerp, employing the latest planning and polishing technologies, blockchain tech and artificial intelligence.

The company made headlines earlier this year when the famous fashion house and luxury retailer, Louis Vuitton, bought the Sewelo diamond, the second largest diamond ever recovered. HB Antwerp will analyse and cut this diamond for Louis Vuitton.

New appointment Donckier said: “Over the past six years, I have gained a thorough understanding of the Antwerp diamond industry. It is a very exciting, challenging and highly international environment. I am very much looking forward to bringing this knowledge and experience to HB Antwerp, a company with bold ideas that plans to harness its innovative abilities and expertise with the savoir-faire of the Antwerp diamond industry.”
