Aurum achieves esteemed Investors in People award


Retail group gains Silver Level after staff training revamp.

Aurum Holdings has been awarded the Silver Level Recognition from Investors in People after a revamp of its staff training policies.

The retail group, which trades in the UK as Mappin & Webb, Watches of Switzerland and Goldsmiths, has introduced a number of staff training initiatives over the past 12 months, which have included improving staff engagement and customer experience.

Aurum was assessed by Investors in People and achieved a score of 110 out of 120, surpassing the required score of 70 to achieve Silver Level Recognition. During the month-long assessment, Investors in People interviewed Aurum staff and visited stores.

The retail group has been working with Investors in People for the past five years to attain Silver Recognition.

Aurum chief executive Justin Stead said: “This is a fantastic achievement for everyone who works for Aurum Holdings and in all our stores nationwide. Our staff are very important to us so naturally we are passionate about maintaining a good working environment and encouraging our staff to learn and grow with us. To have achieved such a high standard as a Silver Level Recognition in such a short time is credit to them and something we are incredibly proud of.”
