The British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ) has added a new series of ‘Masterclass’ educational resources, free to its students.

It has now supplemented its offering with a new ‘Masterclass’ series which will be delivered via Zoom.

The series will include lectures as well as live demonstrations and professional advice sessions on business practices within the industry.

Each entry will be led by an industry expert, including Liz Olver from bespoke jewellery brand Vashi, Kimjoux founder Trang Do, British Vogue’s Carol Woolton, and world-renowned jewellery designers Theo Fennell and Bobby White.

The programme kicked off with a jewellery photography class lead by GEM Kreatives co-founder Julia Flit, who shared her tips on lighting, composition and editing with BAJ students.

Kate Rieppel, head of academy at BAJ, said: “Our Masterclasses are a wonderful way for BAJ students to become more well-rounded jewellers by learning new skills from top industry professionals.

“In 2021, talks and workshops will be given by a diverse range of speakers, who will encourage our students to explore different aspects of our multi-faceted and fast-changing industry.”
