New section of show will allow retailers to test Thai goods.

The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair will launch a cash-and-carry section of the exhibition next month.

Companies will be able to use this new section of the show to offer discounted goods that can be sold at the show and organisers have said that this will allow retailers to test Thai gems and jewellery without having to commit to large orders.

The show, which takes place from September 13 to 17, will be the 50th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair. The Thai exhibition started out in1983 as a local show with just 48 booths but has since grown to become an international event with 3,000 exhibitors and is the largest gems and jewellery show in Asia under a single roof.

Another highlight for visitors to this year’s show, which organisers are dubbing its Golden Anniversary, will be the Design Trends Pavilion sponsored by Swarovski Gems that highlights upcoming jewellery trends and trend-led product.
