UK national jeweller Beaverbrooks has unveiled plans for a new giveaway this Valentine’s Day.

The retailer is asking customers for their ‘lockdown love stories’, and entrants will be in with the chance of winning a £1,000 date night prize.

The couple who send in the most romantic lockdown love story will be treated to a date night worth £1,000, Beaverbrooks said.

Couples who do not live together will be able to celebrate with a virtual date night. Alternatively, the winners can wait until lockdown is over to celebrate in a restaurant or other venue.

The retailer wrote on its website: “Your diamond date night will include a piece of jewellery to gift each other and a dine-in meal for two, plus wine, flowers and chocolate.”

Entries are to include a 100-word lockdown love story, a photo of the couple and are to be made via the Beaverbrooks website by 9am on 5 February.

The jeweller is showing no signs of financial struggle almost a year after the pandemic began. In addition to this giveaway, the retailer confirmed that its Christmas bonuses and Boxing Day holiday were remaining a part of its perks package for staff last month. Read more below:
