National jeweller Beaverbrooks has once again reintroduced its popular £1,000 giveaway competitions.

Just in time for Christmas, the retailer has posted to its website details of a festive jewellery giveaway contest.

The jeweller revealed that only 43% of UK survey respondents say ‘I love you’ to their partner every day, with over half struggling to find the words.

In the spirit of making this a little easier, the company is giving away one £1,000 voucher to spend in any of its stores.

The company asks that entrants explain in 100 words or less how they express love to their partner or family.

Entries close at 5pm on 8th December.

NottinghamshireLive quoted Melissa Stevenson, store manager at Beaverbrooks Nottingham, as saying: “Showing someone close to you that you care is really important, but it seems many people have a difficult time telling friends, family – and even their own partners – that they love them.

“There are so many different ways to express how you’re feeling, and sometimes a simple action or gesture can be a great way to show someone you care when you just can’t find the words.

“Whether it’s making your partner a cup of tea in the morning, or leaving special messages in the kids’ lunch boxes – there are so many ways to communicate love – and we want to hear them!”
