National jewellery retailer Beaverbrooks celebrated an important milestone this week, with its first double store opening on the same day.
Teams at the two new stores located in Bracknell and Guildford cut the ribbon this Thursday 7th September, marking the 70th and 71st UK store openings for the award-winning, family-owned retailer.
The new Bracknell store is situated in The Lexicon shopping centre – a brand new 580,000-square foot retail and leisure destination located in the heart of Bracknell town centre.
The new store opened its doors to the public with an ice-cold giveaway – £1,500 worth of jewellery was frozen inside a four-foot ice sculpture and customers were given the opportunity to ‘polish’ away the diamond-shaped ice to win the jewellery inside.
The Guildford store is located in The Friary Shopping centre, which is Guildford’s largest retail destination. The store celebrated its launch with a TAG Heuer partnership – inviting football fans to test their sporting knowledge in a time-pressured quiz to win a pair of Premier League match tickets.
Anna Blackburn, chief executive officer at Beaverbrooks, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2019, comments: “We’re thrilled to announce our 70th and 71st store openings in Bracknell and Guildford.
“With the two new locations we have identified prime shopping centre developments, providing a fantastic opportunity to expand our portfolio and extend our diamond, jewellery and watch offering to even more customers throughout the UK.”
Beaverbrooks also scooped the Omnichannel Jewellery Retailer of the Year accolade at the 2017 Professional Jeweller Awards.
