Muireann Walshe’s brightly anodized aluminium jewellery is inspired by everything from Harajuku girls to street art, animation, Italian design house Memphis Group and ancient jewellery.

The jewellery designer’s brooches are based on the Tara Brooch, an iconic Irish artefact discovered in 1850. She has reproduced the design with a contemporary twist, with her work in the National Museum of Ireland.

Walshe is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design.
