The Scottish designer exploring the symbolism of black leather.
This month’s Bench Fresh is dedicated to Pamela Goodman, who works under the moniker Pretty Vexed.
What truer a title for a collection of intricate silver jewellery contrasted by empowering black leather? Her Shard neckpiece (pictured) is part of a growing range of statement designs that take inspiration from the enduring presence and symbolism of black leather and its various uses throughout history, combining it with geometric silver forms.
Goodman studied at Duncan of Jordanstone (DJCAD) and is currently based in Dundee and working as part of the Vanilla Ink collective of designers.
