Glasgow School of Art graduate takes inspiration from fading text.

Victoria Lemon, who graduated with a first class degree in silversmithing and jewellery from Glasgow School of Art, and her work examines the visual element of typography from previous eras and the fading glimpses of text she finds in her surrounding environment.

Through repetition and arrangement Lemon creates delicate forms of wearable text in precious metal.

These rings were produced by initially etching the metal to create a layer of text on the surface and then by piercing out a continuous pattern of lettering that is then folded to create various forms.

Lemon now works as a junior design assistant at Harriet Kelsall.
