Birmingham Assay Office raises money for Acorn

Office reaches out to children supported by the hospice

The Birmingham Assay Office recently presented a cheque to Acorns Children’s Hospice which provides specialist care for life limited children and support for their families across the Heart of England.

The Acorns logo appeared on all the Christmas and New Year greetings cards and electronic correspondence that The Birmingham Assay Office sent out to its customers, suppliers and friends at the end of the year. The Acorns Charity is one that the staff of The Birmingham Assay Office has taken to its heart and has been associated with for many years. Support is given through various fund raising activities as well as Assay Office staff doing volunteer work on site.

Give a Gift For The Future – And Make A Difference
There is no charge made to the families and children who benefit from the services and support that Acorns provides. Acorns relies on the community to help raise funds for the majority of its activities. For example, it costs £4,500 per day to run each of the hospices and each bed has a daily cost of £450. The need to raise much needed funds is ever present and during this economically challenging time, is even more difficult to secure. If you would like to make a difference and help these children and their families in their time of need, any donation would be most gratefully received. You can send a cheque or postal order made payable to Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust. Post to: Fundraising, Acorns Children’s Hospice, FREEPOST RRAL-YAJG-BEAG, Birmingham, B47 6JR. You can also go to the Acorns website and donate directly on line:
