The British Jewellers’ Association will host free training courses in business development for jewellers in January.
The group is targeting jewellers based in the West Midlands.
“This project is very close to the core values of the BJA and we are extremely pleased that at this difficult trading time we are able to provide a funded comprehensive training and mentoring programme focusing on the needs of the jewellery industry” Simon Rainer, chief executive of the BJA, said in a statement.
The trainings will be held in conjunction with the Birmingham City council with funding from the ERDF.
Sessions will cover marketing and sales, strategy, pricing, and promotion techniques. Companies can also sign up for individual mentoring and support is available from the group once the formal 12 hour programme comes to an end.
“Already we have received an outstanding response to the January programme, and I advise any companies wishing to participate to contact me very quickly. This project is just one of the industry leading training, mentoring and educational initiatives that the BJA will be launching over the course of the next 12 months,” Rainer said.
Companies interested in participating in the free business assists training programme can apply and check their eligibility by contacting the BJA at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0121 237 1110.
