Erotic undertones mark playful collaboration for brand.
Bobby White London has dipped its toe into the art world, teaming with artist and illustrator Cassandra Yap to create a run of limited-edition screen prints.
The brand and Yap have created a piece of art called Race to the Moon, inspired by Bobby White’s collection of the same name. The artwork features pin-up girls riding on metal rockets shaped like the brand’s Race to the Moon pendant.
Bobby White will sell a limited run of 20 screen prints through its site, signed by both the brand’s eponymous founder Bobby White and Yap, with a price tag of £200.
White said: “We wanted the prints to be empowering yet intriguing and for the imagery to encapsulate the essence of the collection, made to inspire, the thought of no limitations, no barriers, and no end”.
Yap is said to have surprised White this week with the artist’s proof of the image covered in diamond dust. It will be hung in White’s London workshop.
She said: “I know Bobby likes his sparkles so it was the perfect gift”.
