British fine jewellery brand Boodles has unveiled its latest high jewellery collection at Harrods.

The new 40-piece range ‘Finely Coloured’ offers a selection of suites with a specific focus on coloured diamonds, ranging from intense yellows, to pink, green, bluish-green and purplish pink, set in a variety of characteristically Boodles designs.

Boodles head of design, Rebecca Hawkins, comments: “Because coloured diamonds are so rare and special, we wanted to create a collection where the stones themselves form the narrative. We wanted the designs to do justice to their impact, excitement and finesse.”

The designs within this collection combine both naturalistic and architectural influences, but the primary inspiration comes from the stones themselves. The subtle pastel shades are combined to depict delicate creations such as the intricate wings of a butterfly, whereas the more dramatic colours, such as heart shaped yellow diamonds, are accentuated by white diamonds to create definition and impact.

The beauty of each design is in the details, from the graduation and angle of the surrounding diamonds to the curves and proportion, each of these aspects are included to compliment the shape and colour of the diamond it surrounds.

Finely coloured suites include Wisteria, Palace, Mosaic, Papillon, Swirl and Prism. Wisteria presents round brilliant pink diamonds, while Mosaic offers pastel stones crafted in butterfly motifs. Elsewhere, Swirl, Prism and Mosaic add a touch of summer with yellow diamond details.

A highlight include the Mosaic necklace which comprises a 12ct light yellow diamond, cut in Boodles’ unique Ashoka cut, and the Palace necklace adorned with nearly 250 diamonds of various cuts, colours and sizes, including pear shaped diamonds weighing nearly 40 carats and yellow diamonds of over six carats.

Alongside suites the collection also encompasses some ‘one of a kind’ pieces; individual one off designs that encompass some of the finest and rarest coloured stones. These include creations such as a pink diamond pear shaped ring of over three carats, a pink and green diamond pendant and a fancy intense green diamond ring.
