German trade show Inhorgenta Munich has reported an increase in exhibitors signing up to join the 2018 edition of the show.

Bookings are up 7%, and demand remains high with 178 new applications received for the 2018 event, with next year’s show attracting well-known brands such as Georg Jensen, Niessing, Paul Wild, and Piero Milano.

In total, more than 1,000 jewellery, precious stone and watch dealers from over 30 countries has signed up for the annual event, running from February 16 to 19, 2018.

“Munich is and remains the top location for a trade show like Inhorgenta Munich,” says Klaus Dittrich, chairman and chief executive officer of Messe München. “Exhibitors and visitors alike appreciate the infrastructure, but above all the diversity, quality and the unique program—all this exists only here in this form”.

Some 27,500 trade visitors from 70 countries attended Inhorgenta Munich 2017. The show claims 90% of visitors were decision-makers or had an influence on purchasing and procurement decisions.

“This will be the case in 2018 again,” adds Dittrich. “We also intend to put a strong focus on the watch segment—that is where we want to continue to grow. We are eagerly looking forward to 2018 and the great number of new exhibitors and visitors. In a common and united effort, it is so much more fun to face up to the big changes in our industry.”
