PJ AWARDS 2019 FINALISTS: Branded Jewellery Boutique of the Year


Professional Jeweller is delighted to announce the finalists in the Branded Jewellery Boutique of the Year category of the 2019 Professional Jeweller Awards.

Finalists in this category present the essence of their brand in their own physical stores.

The finalists in the Professional Jeweller Awards Branded Jewellery Boutique of the Year category are:

Astrid & Miyu
In the last year Astrid & Miyu has introduced two retail concepts that have taken the brand to new heights. Both centred around earrings, the British brand first placed ear styling bars in-store, which allowed consumers to sit and play, with staff on hand to advice. This was then followed by the launch of piercing studios inside the boutiques – which has well and truly transformed the bricks and mortar side of the brand’s business by increasing footfall, sales, and consumer loyalty.

Welsh jewellery brand Clogau Gold is celebrating 30 years in business this year and shows no signs of slowing down. In a time where many are reducing the number of store doors, Clogau has bucked the high street trend and gone through an unprecedented period of growth with the opening of boutiques in Bangor, Broughton, Swansea, London, Llandudno and Cardiff.

Daniella Draper
British jewellery designer Daniella Draper has really made her mark in the UK, with consumers loving not only her products, but also the stores she has created to sell them in. Each store nods to the brand, its values, and aesthetic, whilst also including elements that pay tribute to the town or city it resides in. Danielle Draper works hard to embed each store into the local community as well, joining charity initiatives and partnering with other companies where possible.

Monica Vinader
Monica Vinader has grown year-on-year since its launch in 2008, and has more than doubled its revenue in the last three years, with the company running seven branded boutiques. Each store is designed by the namesake founder and captures a sense of the brand, its values, and the women it creates products for. Embracing personalisation has been a key element, and something that has been utilised in pop-ups during lucrative seasons as well.

Olivia Burton
British accessories brand, Olivia Burton, launched its first ever bricks and mortar store in London’s Covent Garden in September 2018. Situated in the historic market building, the 1200 sq. ft store is arranged over two floors and features innovative and inspiring touches, which allow consumers to fully immerse themselves in the brand. The experimental space has helped bolster jewellery sales as shoppers enjoy making memories in the boutique and buying products as a momentum.

Posh Totty Designs
Posh Totty Designs has come a long way since its humble beginnings, and even since its quick success on NotOnTheHighStreet.com. Today, the brand has a flagship in Brighton and London, where consumers get to enter the world of Posh Totty Designs. With storytelling at the heart of the brand, staff can instantly connect with consumers on a personal level, but the business still goes the extra mile to build relationships. Most recently this has included after-hour ring making workshops, which give shoppers the opportunity to make a completely bespoke piece under the guidance of the expert team.
