Technology provider Bransom has highlighted the potential for jewellery companies to easily take their businesses outside the store walls with its new mobile PoS.

One of the greatest advantages of a cloud-based system is its mobility. Simply put, as long as a jewellery company has an internet connection, they can be live and do business.

This means stores or designers using Bransom’s new mobile PoS system can take their tablet tills out on location, thus creating an opportunity for the jewellery industry to think outside the box. Companies can now think of ways to not only draw people into store, but also to meet shoppers where they already are – whether that be a wedding fair, Christmas market, or a popular place in town the offers space for pop-up shops.

The system also makes it easy for companies to take customer details – ideal for future engagement – and make the sale, all the time automatically saving that data to the home system in the cloud.

With the ability to send e-receipts directly from the tablet, there’s also no need to carry bulky receipt or inkjet printers, and all businesses need is a charger for the tablet and access to a Wi-Fi or mobile data network – a smartphone can often be used to create your own Wi-Fi network with internet access.

A statement from Bransom says: “Being able to add customer details directly into the till means no more copying details from business cards or paper forms back into the system when you’re back at the shop, and is a great way to build loyalty and ongoing business.”
