Welcome to the inaugural Professional Jeweller Power List — a new initiative celebrating the movers and shakers in the UK jewellery trade.
The UK jewellery industry boasts a high number of innovative and inspiring individuals who are pushing boundaries and playing their part in keeping business booming even during more challenging retail conditions on the high street.
It’s certainly not an easy time to be working within the UK jewellery sector, but thankfully the trade is full of talented individuals who continue to make it sparkle and weather the storm.
To recognise this, we wanted to launch something that would shine a light on the people working for jewellery retailers and suppliers who are blazing a trail in the market.
Wherever you look in the country there are examples of jewellery retailers and suppliers doing a fantastic job for their clients. Whether it’s the personal service they offer, the care and attention they pay to helping customers find the right solution or their appetite to provide as much product choice as possible, they are at the forefront of the ever-changing retail landscape.
The Power List is an opportunity to recognise some of the individuals behind those organisations and highlight the commendable and tireless work they do, and it appears this has been a welcomed initiative as we were flooded with nominations from the minute we launched the Power List online.
Many retailers wrote in to put forward suppliers, while brands were quick to commend individuals from award-winning independents and multiples.
These nominations were for individuals worthy of being included in one of five categories: Retail Titans, Brand Champions, Inspiring Independents, Market Movers, and Rising Stars,
While it was hard to whittle the list down to just six per category, we believe the people on the following pages deserve public recognition for the innovative work they do.
From chief executive officers and managing directors who are leading by example from the top, to unsung heroes working in customer service, bespoke design, and on the road as a sales agent, the 2019 Power List elevates the individuals inspiring their businesses to reach new heights in a challenging and competitive environment.
