The growth of INHORGENTA MUNICH continues in 2019! The international trade fair for jewelry, timepieces and gemstones (February 22 – 25) is delighted to welcome 65 new exhibitors in the jewelry segment. In addition to the fully booked gemstone hall C1, the Munich event substantially boosted exhibitor numbers in halls B1, Fine Jewelry, and B2, Elegance & Lifestyle.

Stress is normally not something to be aspired to. Nevertheless, the employees at INHORGENTA MUNICH see it as a reward. A reward, that is, for their tireless efforts to once again put the international trade fair for jewelry, timepieces and gemstones in Munich from February 22 through 25, 2019, on center stage for the industry. Some staff email inboxes were overflowing in recent weeks and the phones hardly stopped ringing. The gratifying reason: a great many registrations.

The strategy for continuously growing and improving the trade fair seems to be a total success. “At this time, we already have 65 more new exhibitors in the jewelry segment. That is a wonderful interim success. We see it as both praise and motivation,” enthuses Stefanie Mändlein, Exhibition Director at INHORGENTA MUNICH. Prestigious jewelry maker Marco Bicego is also celebrating its premiere as an exhibitor. “Participating in this fair is a way to get closer to the central and northern European market, where our products are particularly appreciated and requested. It is not therefore a matter of attending the fair to enter a new market, but to consolidate an already strong and structured presence,” explains owner Bicego, who also revealed that the jewelry maker based in Vicenza, Italy, will open a new production shop in early 2019.

The expanded portfolio of INHORGENTA MUNICH 2019 also includes jewelry brands such as Annamaria Cammilli Firenze, Mousson Atelier, Facet Barcelona, Jochen Pohl, leBebé, Bering as well as the Amor Group with Joop! and s.Oliver Jewel.

The facts and figures are a strong indication that this segment is in an upward trend. And current statistics are proof. Sales in the jewelry segment are projected to reach €4.34 billion in Germany in 2018 – in 2017, the figure was €4.28 billion. That is an increase of 1.3 percent (source: statista).

This shows that the demand for jewelry is there. And the best pieces will be distinguished at INHORGENTA MUNICH 2019 – with the INHORGENTA AWARD. In just a short time, it has made a name for itself in the segment. “We couldn’t have imagined it in our wildest dreams when we introduced the award in 2017. So we are even more delighted that it is now considered a real seal of quality in the industry,” admits Mändlein.

So it is hardly surprising that a number of TV crews, photographers and journalists have announced their attendance at the glamorous gala on February 24, 2019. The biggest crowd will take to the red carpet as plenty of prominent visitors once again join the event. They include top model Franziska Knuppe and well-known German actress Bettina Zimmermann, who is also highly visible in Germany thanks to her TV ads with Liverpool trainer Jürgen Klopp. Both are members of the jury, which will award the 3.5 kilogram trophy in eight categories for the best designs and concepts in the international jewelry and timepiece segment.

Regardless of who receives the diamond-shaped award – one thing is certain: It is ideas and events like this that help generate interest from more and more exhibitors in the international trade fair for jewelry, timepieces and gemstones. And INHORGENTA MUNICH will stay its course: in the direction of growth.
