Brown & Newirth awarded RJC certification


Company says it is "delighted to have achieved new status".

British jewellery manufacturer Brown & Newirth has announced it has been awarded RJC certification, based on its ethical and corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards. 

Director of Brown & Newirth, John Ball, explained: “As a jewellery manufacturer we are delighted to have achieved our new status and what it signifies to the business. The full RJC certification enables us to demonstrate to our customers that our jewellery practices and processes meet the highest standards set by the council. Our customers can be assured that, not only do we create beautiful jewellery, but that it has been manufactured in a responsible way.”

Brown & Newirth now joins more than 300 jewellery-associated companies that have achieved certification by meeting the highest ethical, social and environmental standards as established by RJC.

Ball added: “It was very important for us to have begun the process two years ago when we joined the RJC, as it has enabled us to appreciate and fully understand the Council’s requirements for ethical, responsible and social practice across all areas of our business.”

Brown & Newirth specialise in a range of bridal, commitment and partnership jewellery. Based in Hatfield, Brown and Newirth have been handcrafting fine collections of jewellery since 1967.
