Wholesale partnership will take ethical jewellery to the masses.

Bridal jewellery manufacturer Brown & Newirth has signed a deal with ethical jeweller Cred to create a range of Fairtrade Fairmined wedding bands.

The partnership with the manufacturer will allow Cred to push further into the wholesale market, a strategic move the brand has been planning for some time.

Cred head of supply and production Christian Cheeseman said: “The combination of Brown & Newirths’ quality manufacturing and Cred Jewellery’s expertise in fair trade sourcing and production is extremely exciting. It will make Fairtrade and Fairmined gold widely and easily accessible to jewellers and their customers across the UK. The choice is out there."

Fairtrade Fairmined rings will be available under both the Cred and Brown & Newirth brands, and the first fruits from the collaboration will be on display at The Jewellery Show in Birmingham, which starts on Sunday.

Brown & Newirth sales director John Ball said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Cred. We will be manufacturing designs created by the Cred team plus we will also be manufacturing our own collections, having signed an exclusive licensing agreement.”

Cred has been a pioneer in the ethical jewellery since it was founded in 1996. As well as selling ethical jewellery at its boutiques in Chichester and London.
