Bulova presents new timepiece Precisionist

The world’s most accurate watch with a sweeping second hand

Bulova has released details of their forthcoming new watch, the Precisionist. Set for release in September, the timepiece utilises Bulova’s newest technology platform to make it the world’s most accurate watch with a continuous sweeping second hand.

The new watch has an added third prong compared to a standard two prong quartz crystal, creating a torsional resonator. This innovation results in the highest vibration frequency of any quartz watch, eight times greater than the traditional. The aesthetic movement of the second hand becomes the symbol to the consumer of Bulova Precisionist and signals a watch with accuracy so exceptional, you can see it.

The technology is accurate to 10 seconds per year as compared to most other quartz watches, which are accurate to fifteen seconds per month.

Bulova’s UK general manager Gordon Dickens said: “Bulova is committed to upholding an extraordinary legacy of excellence in design, style and technology and is proud to introduce its newest technology platform, Precisionist, to the UK market. Absolute accuracy has long been viewed as an important measure of the quality of a timepiece and Precisionist technology is accurate to ten seconds a year, making it the world’s most accurate watch with a continuous sweeping second hand.”

The collection will be available for both men and women and retail at a suggested price range of £189 to £639.
