Royal Tunbridge Wells jeweller Burrells revved up the engines for a special VIP launch of Tudor’s 2016 collection by inviting motorbike legend Carl Fogarty MBE to speak at the event.

Guests admired the brand’s newest range of watches over a glass of Bottega prosecco and were treated to canapés and music.

Sven Olsen, UK general manager of Tudor, spoke to customers about the new collection, which includes the Black Bay Bronze, dubbing it this year’s “biggest surprise” at Baselworld.Tudor event

Guest speaker Carl Fogarty, meanwhile, shared amusing and insightful tales about a career that saw him become the most successful World Superbike rider of all time. Customers also had the opportunity to marvel over two impressive Ducati bikes that were there on the night. Tudor and Ducati have had a partnership since 2011.

Edward Ferris, owner of Burrells, said: “It was fantastic to have Carl Fogarty at our Tudor event the other day – following the success of our last event with Sir Ranulph Fiennes it was wonderful to be able to bring another icon to meet and talk to our customers.”
