Cartier tugs on heartstrings with proposal film

Cartier has released a short film featuring three proposals, set in the most romantic city in the world, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The six-minute film shows three proposal stories set in Paris; a couple on the brink of being separated at the airport, a man chasing his fiancée to a crowded elevator, and a young couple on a treasure hunt at the city’s Musée Rodi.

As the stories reach their climax, a signature red Cartier box is produced by each of the men proposing. Within them are three Cartier engagement rings – the Trinity Ruban, the Destineé and a wedding band crafted from baguette-cut and brilliant round diamonds.

The film has been shot by British director Sean Ellis, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his short film Cashback.
