Moon Signs collection will support the Born Free Foundation.

Jewellery designer Catherine Best and astrologer Sharon Ward have collaborated to produce a collection of jewellery called Moon Signs, launched to support the Born Free Foundation.

Best, who is based on Guernsey, teamed up with Ward to create the range of silver, 18ct gold and diamond-set designs based on signs of the zodiac.

The duo have also secured Amanda Holden as an ambassador, with the TV presenter and Britain’s Got Talent judge photographed wearing the Scorpio Moon Sign necklace.

Holden said: “My Moon Sign is Scorpio which is brilliant as it has some characteristics that differ from my traditional horoscope and I feel I can truly relate to this sign. It’s so much fun finding out what your Moon Sign is and how it reflects your inner self.”

Best recently raised awareness of the Born Free Foundation with the auction of her Shere Khan necklace which achieved £250,000 at auction.

She said of the new initiative: “It was fantastic to see this collection come to life and to interpret the shapes and mythical wisdom of these age-old signs into a contemporary piece of wearable jewellery.

"I wanted a range that would be beautiful and elegant to wear but also affordable – prices start at just £100 – and special, be it for you or as a gift for someone you care for.”

The Moon Signs collection will be launched in time for Christmas, and proceeds from the sale of each Moon Signs piece will go towards the Born Free Foundation.
