Luxury jewellery house Chaumet has made it possible for anyone with a smartphone to try on a renowned tiara.

Partnering with Instagram and Snapchat, the jewellery masion has launched filters which allow followers to try on a high jewellery tiara.

The playful and personal experience has been designed to “awaken the princess inside every woman”, even when they are stuck at home feeling far away from royalty right now.


Accessible to all, the two apps offer filters that allow social media users to try on one or two contemporary Chaumet tiaras: Joséphine Aigrette Impériale or Firmament de Minuit. The first, inspired by Empress Joséphine, the Maison’s first major client, is distinguished by its pear-cut diamonds. The second is topped with diamond stars, a key Chaumet motif.

To access, Instagram users need to just focus their phone cameras on the QR code corresponding to the desired tiara, without taking a photo. A pop-up will then appear and offer the user to open the filter in the app.

For Snapchat, users need to connect to the app and take a photo of the QR code corresponding to your chosen tiara in order to unlock the filter. The app will then offer to save it and make it available for 48 hours.
