Christie’s jewellery expert leaves after 42 years to head up luxury jeweller Moussaieff

David Warren has left Christie’s, where he worked for 42 years, to take on the newly created role of CEO at diamond jeweller Moussaieff.

He joined Christie’s in 1978 and most recently was senior international jewelry director and head of jewels Middle East.

Now, as CEO of Moussaieff, he will report to Alisa Moussaieff, head of the family-owned business.

Warren announced his departure from auction house Christie’s on his Instagram account last month, but the “exciting new challenges” he was referring to in the post was only revealed yesterday.

Moussaieff describes itself as one of the world’s most “exclusive and discreet” jewellery businesses. It has a London showroom in New Bond Street.
