Company claims positive response from independent jewellery sector.

CL Edwards (CLE) have announced they will be distributing Acctim clocks across the independent jewellery sector.

The initiative, which started a week ago, has already seen a good response from jewellers, claims CL Edwards head of sales and marketing Craig Skinner.

He said: “It’s only been going for a week, but it’s doing well so far.”

Skinner has previously worked with Acctim director Kevin Leonard, but claimed the inspiration for this latest partnership was a spur of the moment decision.

“We were talking and he said he was interest in going back into the independent sector,” Skinner said. “I told him ‘we’ve got a sales team and we’d be able to distribute the clocks.’”

The companies are only starting with a small range of around 40 products, but hope to double this number in the next six to 12 months. The clocks retail at £7.99 to £120.

CLE have a sales team of six across the UK and Ireland, and specialise in distribution to the independent sector. The new range of Acctim clocks will be exhibited at IJL 2010.

Acctim director Kevin Leonard said: “Like Acctim, CLE has a long & proud heritage and given their expertise in this market sector we are delighted to offer them our full support to help raise the profile of the brand in what is a relatively underdeveloped area for us in recent times.”
