Claudia Bradby Jewellery has enjoyed a positive start to the year, reporting a 45% growth in wholesale sales figures for the first quarter of 2018 compared with the same period last year.
The pearl jewellery specialist credits the buoyant figures to the popularity of two new collections; the Signature Hearts collection, which was launched in the run up to Valentine’s Day, and the circus-inspired Cirque collection.
National sales manager, Zee Robinson, also claims that the brand’s approach to accepting back discontinued lines at the beginning of the year was warmly welcomed by stockists.
Robinson explains: “Retailers felt we were working with them to achieve the best presentation of our brand, rather than leaving them with sale lines and reduced margins for their business.”
“The new collections for both Valentine’s and the spring season sold in strongly and we are already seeing reorders based on positive sell through. In particular the Cirque collection, with the fabulous Lariat hero piece, has been a top performing range,” she continues. “There is no denying that the adverse weather affected sales, but with spring finally here and the exciting Royal Wedding coming up, we’re optimistic that sales for the next quarter will be equally positive.”
